6 years as an Autopia....I finally get my first car!

Jason- Your orangepeel doesn't look any worse than that on our MPV, and yeah, the metallic effect of Mazda paint is pretty intense. I figure stuff like the orangepeel is what makes 'em affordable.

F150BOB - Thank you, for the wheelwells I use a clearcoat safe wheel brush (got it from Top of the line.com a while ago) with EF Hi-Intensity and then top that with Zaino Z-16. Quite easy and takes only a few minutes more.

Burlyq - I was close to getting a used car, but I think I would have just ended up with a lemon and dumping even more money into fixing it, with new cars that chance is reduced. You can still get a lemon but it is covered under warranty.

Accumulator - Yeah car was pretty inexpensive for what I got. MPV's seem very popular, had two in the family, one is the current 2003 or 04 MPV used by my aunt and my cousin had a really old one, think early 90's, but that has since been junked.

Thank you hirosh, it was like car love at first sight, lol.

Will be working on the interior Sunday.

I just finished Z7, Z2 Pro, and Z-6 on the car's paint. Cleaned up the interior and applied Z-10 to the leather and vinyl surfaces. MY vac is out of service right now so I just shook out the mats.

I love Zaino Z2 Pro, really makes my paint pop and shine.

SLD - The int. is a bit under par, bare with me, my vac is out of service.

I think this shows the sparkle a bit better than last pic, and the car has 500 more miles (reached 1500 today)

(Excuse my CLEAN boots (new) and my fleece jacket, also space blanket, MF towel, and reflective belt on right side, left side has my bottle of Z-6)

Shot of trunk lid glass, think Mazda puts a reflective surface on the privacy glass?

The left passenger side picture came out blurry and I'm too lazy to go back downstairs to take another picture of it.

Thank you for reviewing all these pictures. I guess I went camera picture taking happy today. My hands smell amazing too, mix of Z-16 and Z-2.

Looking good, Jason! Gotta love that Mazda metallic, huh?

Your privacy glass looks a more reflective than mine, or else I need to do something to mine other than just use glass cleaner on it. Did you Zaino your glass?

Those WeatherTech floormats really fit well. Maybe I oughta buy a set that're really made for the MPV instead of just using the old ones from my Volvo. Maybe I should've done it a few years ago, once that light carpet gets messed up it stays messed up :o

How're you reaching the roof? I ended up getting two of THESE

very nice, Jason.... I'm impressed.

Personally I went with the Husky Liners for the seating area, but the weathertechs are nice also.

Thanks Accumulator! I love the metallic, it was glowing tonight when I went to do some grocery shopping.

I just use Z-6 on the glass. No Z-2 yet.

The front mats fit very well. I like them, the rear mats are a different story they don't fit that well, but they do fit ok compared to the cheapo mats at the store. Not many people often sit in the back anyway (generally myself driving and either my mom or brother, my sister sits in the back every now and then) The Cargo liner definately fits VERY well.

Light carpet is hard to maintain, like the beige/pebble color, I am glade I went with dark flint (gray interior.)

I use an old towel placed on the rear tire and the driver side door sill. I stand on it to reach the roof. It may not be pretty but it works.

Thanks SLD! Husky never corssed my mind. Weathertech was the only thing I knew about. I would have considered them if I know about them. The rear middle doesn't have a mat so I just laid a towel down on it.

Who in the world collects flashlights??? :D

That Z2Pro looks extremely slick from your pictures, got to hurry up and use up my Z1 and Z2 so I can put in another order.

Thanks V8! The Z2 Pro rocks. Little more pop than the regular Z2.

I got 3 flashlights in the car, and when I'm in it, I got 5. LOL!

I normally have two on my person, and have another in my personals bag. Have one positioned near me just about everywhere I go in the house, and LED emergency flasher in the all of the vehicles. My "kids" looked at me crazy when I handed them their own along with a mini tool kit for their vehicles. I also admonished them NOT to use the batteries up in the flasher units at some party :nono

Jason, looking at your reflection in the rear glass, I see you have the "high" of the high & tight, but the tight is looking a little long, or is that just a distorted reflection :D

yeah -- that's what got me on to the huskys; EVERYTHING is covered, including the hump. :up

of course I'm comparing mats for a GMC Envoy to ones for a Mazda....

Thanks SilverLexus.

Mr. Clean - Cool to spread the hobby lol. I let the tight grow out a little. Sometimes I grow out my hair for a few months at a time too blend in better. I am content with the Surefire L2 on the arm rest/storage compartment, Inova 24/7 with head band in the back, and Tigerlight in the glove box. I have an Arc AAA LE on the key chain and a Longbow Micra in my bag.

SLD - Yeah it doesn't cover the Hump, oh well. The back doesn't see much use anyway.

Well 3881 on the odometer and got my oil changed at ~ 3500 miles.

I went to the Mazda dealer (Irwin Mazda in Freehold, NJ) and brought my own oil. 4.5 quarts of Mobil 1 5 W 20 full synthetic. $21.95 for the oil change and OEM Mazda oil filter, got my fluids checked and topped off. the basic package.

Today the car really needed a wash, so I used Z7 and washed it. Then what the heck, I bought some Z8 a few days ago and I've been itching to try it. Z8 smels sooooo good. Like candy, tempted to drink it, almost smells like the creatine i am taking LOL.

I also got a new toy in the mail today. A Magellan roadmate 300 GPs unit with touch screen. Really ncie device. takes a while to link up with a satellite due to being new but once used a few times, picks up fast (under 5 minutes.) Don't mind the Surefire flashlights in the picture, used as a size reference for someone else. Those two flashlights cost just as much as the GPS, YIKES!

$40 for the windshield sunscreen OEM!!! Expensive, but good, keeps my interior so cool, let alone protects my interior from fade.

I also took off the rear deck lid Mazda and Tribute lettering. Looks so much better without them :) They were just tapped on.

My Magellan 300

Eh, what the heck, another sparkle picture. I know the Z8 didn't fully set but it feels so slick!

Thanks for looking, I also average 23-24 MPG for this I-4.
