Hey everyone, well I've been pretty busy this summer, although not so much detailing wise, I just got back from Europe (went there for 2 weeks with my family to see some of my family in Hungary) and I finally got a few cars to do before I go up to UCF...

First off, I did this 56' Chevy about 3 weeks ago but never had a chance to take pictures, so sorry for the lack of pictures, and for the crappy location, I didn't have the chance to move it so these are the best that I could get...

When I first looked at the car it wasn't in too bad of shape, the owner didn't want it perfect, just a good wash/wax, (but what Autopian in there right mind would settle for that haha) so after giving it an NXT bath, I went over the car with a White LC pad and Vanilla Moose, and then came back with some Caranuba Moose Wax to finish her off, this greatly reduced the marring in the car and added tons of depth/gloss! The chrome got mothers along with the wheels, and the tires are wearing AA gel. Interior got a light wipedown of APC, and then was vacuumed and dressed with Pinnacle's Vinyl/Rubber Protectant...

Next up was their brand new Enclave. Was fairly clean, the wheels needed a thorough polish, but other than that the car was in great shape. Wheel wells were not dressed due to the fact the owner lives on a dirt road and didn't want any. The Buick got an NXT wash, followed by Optimum Poliseal via White LC Pad, and then I finished up with some Jeffs Werkstatt Caranuba Jett for a little more depth on the brown...Wheels were polished with mothers, interior was vacuumed and then wiped down with Megs HD 2:1....

Finished up the vette today. First off, the owner just got back from Tampa so the car was pretty much filthy, no before pics, but trust me, it was dirty...It was initially just going to be a wash and wax, but there were some hard water spots and some light marring that the owner had last put in since I cleaned it, and so I opted to take it one more step, process was as follows:

Exterior:

-NXT Wash

-Optimum Polish/Poliseal Mix via Orange pad (PC) (+glass)

-Opti Seal

-Wheel Wells are wearing No Touch

-Tires are wearing Meg's HD 2:1

-Exhaust tips polished with Mothers

-Stoners IG for glass

-Meg's HD 2:1 for trim

Interior:

-Vacuum

-Hot compress (water/a small amount of APC 10:1) to leather

-Pinnacle's Leather Conditioner

-Pinnacle's Vinyl/Rubber Protectant

-Mats were shampooed with apc 4:1 (not shown, but they were perfect)

(and yes I wiped down the insides of the wheels, some dirty water that was on the calipers must have dripped down inside of the rims)

Thanks for looking :)

the Enclave is actually a 2008, we have the same one but with the nav and DVD system, so you jsut used some mothers mag&aluminum polish?

yep, just spread some on a microfiber and went to town, each wheel takes a while by hand, but the results are worth it

You came to Hungary without noticing me??? :)

Which part of your family lives here (and where)?

My dads parents are from hungary, they escaped back in the late 60's and came to America, and basically his whole side of the family lives there...We stayed with his cousin and his cousin's family, who all live about 20 clicks outside of budapest.

These details all belong to a pretty big family, and I'm working out of their buisness warehouse for the time being

Nice to see GM finally making nice vehicles again. The enclave isn't my taste, but its a quality ride!

Solid details, you made that 'vette blue look great!

Thanks, the opti seal turned out a lot nicer than I thought it would, I could immediately tell the difference between the poliseal panels without optiseal, so that was a plus!
