52nd Pebble Beach Concours...

You can't judge a car by pictures.

The only way to truly judge them is to sit them besides each other. You can take pictures to hide swirls.

The angle you take the picture at as well as the lighting affects the shine on your vehicle. Most vehicles will have a decent shine when they are in the shade. I was working on a white vehicle the other day and under the shade I could have gotten a pretty good picture of the reflection of a tree. When I pulled it out in the sun the car's paint had 0 depth.

Just something to think about.

The main thing is the paintjob those cars have on them as well as the conditions they are kept. Plus they judge more than the paintjob. Everything is clean on a Concours winner and absolutely perfect! Paint, interior, engine, underbody, everything!

Yeah, I know...:p

When you have $200k+ garage queens with flawless paintjobs and never-seen-the-light-of-day interiors, you'd expect that kind of perfection...but I think us Autopians do a spectacular job on our daily drivers, most of which are exposed to the elements a lot of the time!:xyxthumbs

BTW, I wish I were there to see them side-by-side!;)
