Last year i stumbled across a photo online of a guy who had applied 50 layers of zaino to his ride...It was a photo with a little celebration in front of it...

Has anyone seen it or can they recall it???

I am desperate for this photo...

Thanks in advance...

That's what I was thinking too! If it's got 50 layers on it, then I'd be willing to bet there have been some swirls that have found their way into the paint at some point during the time it took to layer Z 50 times. I'm not knocking the product, but c'mon. Unless you're doing Accumulator washes (which most people wont do) and not driving the car, then you're going to pick up some marring.

The car looks great in the pic though, and the wheels are really clean!

i have seen 1 layer of wax look that good. he could have saved alot of time a just used UPGP,DWG and top with a nuba and the car would have looked wetter and just as reflective

Just looking, I would have guessed maybe 45-46 layers tops but not 50. Just doesn't quite have that 50 layer pop I was expecting. :grinno:

I can wash any black car on the street in decent condition, park it in the shade, place the 50th layer sign by it, and voila--teh 50th Z pic.

*edit* I sealed my car last July with something--can't really remember. After each wash I use OCW or M135, do I have 50+ coats of OCW on my car? That's it, I am going out to take the pic--let me go make my sign.

I'm sure applying 50 layer has made the owner happy... clearly, he's made a little sign for it. Fair play to him. :)

Whether or not the 50 layers make a difference is a matter of debate - well, it isn't really, I think we are all pretty much convinced we've long going into the law of diminishing returns there, but at the end of the day, if someone wants to layer 50, or 5,000,000 layers of something on their car, thats up to them :)

My Volvo is looking pretty damn sweet with 5 layers of Z2 and Z5, topped with Z8... just going to wash and top up with Z8 every so often now, though given how easy the Z8 is to use and how nice it smells, it may be getting this every wash!! LOL

That's dedication. I'd never make it that far without breaking out the Menzerna and starting over. I wonder how many bottles of Zaino he used.

I will believe the 50 layers makes a difference when you can measure a huge difference when using a paint thickness gauge.

Good marketing for Zaino.

BTW: Not to bash Zaino (I use it myself), just pointing out the little benefit you get from it.

Zaino website says:

"With just one application of Z-3â„¢ Show Car Polish, you'll have the wettest-looking, deepest, slickest, and clearest finish you can imagine."

I guess the English language is not capable of describing the deep, glossy, wet dream that multiple coats provides.

Seriously, one coat looks great. I've never seen anything gained from multiple coats.
