5 Year Wax!

What I meant is that there are no secret ingredients. Each company uses different formulations of common ingredients. It is the ability to combine ingredients that makes a company successful. Also, cost is a factor.

Very few manufacturers of professional or over-the-counter products use expensive chemicals or compounds in their formulas. This is not because they do not have access to, or knowledge of them, it is simply a matter of cost. This also does not make their products less effective. Again, it is the ability to find the right formulation of common ingredients.

One bit of additional info.. A single chemical company will make formulations for a large number of competing product lines!

THERE ARE NO MAGICAL FORMULAS!

yup. I've heard of it. I've seen people who use it (they say its supposed to last the life of the car)

basically its NuFinish. Times 5.

:nono

It says it also removes surface swirls.... Can somebody tell me how a protective layer does that?

But hey, it claims to be even better than silicones! It MUST be good! [Note sarcasm]

The question raised by the anti-teflon contingent is: "How do you get it to stick to your car's surface?"

The problem with PTFE/teflon is that it is so slick, it won't stick to anything ... It has to be baked on at 700+ degrees.

This patent covers a way of "plating" on the teflon material using oppositely charged particles. The first wash contains penetrating charged particles which temporarily stick to the pores of the surface. The second wash has the oppositely charged teflon particles which are pulled into the pores where they cure, expanding and interlocking to cover the surface in a permanent fashion. The science makes sense, although that is not proof that it actually performs as promised.

If I wasn't hip-deep in Klasse, Souveran, etc., I'd have ordered it already. If I get a new car next year, I'll be buyin' it. If we can get a group buy going, count me in.
