5 gallon bucket seat

I've got the Wolfgang bucket. :) I love it. It comes with a seat cusion and a grit guard as well as the roller base. Very worth it IMO. This year is going to be a lot more fun to wash than in years past.

I have a similiar as Jngrbrdman. I like mine very much also.

I am very interested in the seat that you mentioned, Joe. Was wondering if this is constructed well enough to be able with stand punishment like standing on it?

Sometimes all one needs is a little help to reach those odd places that the wheeled one, that was preciously mentioned, will not work or do not want to take the chance on damaging the bucket by taking it out of the wheeled dolly.

Joe,

I have a bucket seat/cover similar to the one in your link. I've been using the same one for probably 8 to 10 years. I bought it in Home Depot if I recall correctly. I find it comfortable and if I recall it only cost me a couple of dollars. I sit on it when I'm cleaning wheels and also when using my PC on vertical surfaces.

No. It just pops on. I think the problem is that the bucket would have to have a threaded lip for a screw on lid to work. I haven't seen many buckets that have a threaded lip.

Home Depot has it for more than half that price ($34.94). I have it and it works great.

Nice link Greg. Shows how ridiculously over priced the Wolfgang, Pinnacle, Autogeek bucket setup is. But you don't get their cool logos :lmfao

Good Deal thanks for that info. Looks like i am off to Home Depot. And that one is about the right height also. The other were 18" and 28" and I need about a 22" tall the Home Depot one is 20" so that will work out even better for me.

The links that are provided are a great source of information. Spilchy thanks for the item at HD they also have another step bench but the price is almost double for the anti slip. Can the anti skid can be bought seperate and applied to the bench in the link you provided..

Any skateboard shop should have grip tape you could apply it as you wanted and in any shape. Also i am sure Home Depot carries some of it as well.

Yeah, agreed. You can find tape in many places.

To be honest, I don't have the anti slip one, and I haven't had a problem (looking for wood to knock!)

I can't recall having a slip or close call because you're really not straining or standing dangerously on the platform. You're simply standing on it with two flat feet and gently washing the car. Just use a little extra caution stepping down. If you're in a rush or insist on standing on your tippy toes to get to the edge instead of moving the bench, then you may take a tumble. I've thrown caution to the wind and stood like a moron on them risking injury, but nothing ever happended.

With common sense, you should be ok. It's not like you're multiple feet off the ground. If you're a total spaz or like 900lbs, I'd throw some tape on there.

*Disclaimer* If you fall and crack your noggin, don't blame me :whistling (as he tip toes out the room)

Thanks mike i had'nt thought of that.

spilchy, with the step bench being aluminum i thought it might get slippery if it was to get wet.common sense would be for me to wipe the bench down..
