4Star Tire Gel Sling

Anyone know the best way to avoid tire sling with this? I've only used it twice so far, and cleaned the rubber (I thought) pretty well, waited a couple of hours for it to 'set', but it still slings. I could be applying too much -- I do use a dedicated tire swipe for it. How much do you usually drop onto an applicator?



Do you wipe it down with anything, or am I missing something else?

Just wipe it down with a towel to get the excess off and you should be fine.

Best tire gel I have worked with..........As Bob said, wipe on, wipe off..........dont get it on A/C or concrete though. Works very well on trim pieces too!!

Ah, okay, I wasn't sure I had to wipe it down. So it retains its look even after wipedowns?

I was wondering why anyone was using it on their air conditioner. LOL

just apply a nice thin even coat and spread it around thoroughly with a tire swipe. sometimes when i apply (for example) tire foam and it goes on too thick and after i've spread it around, i use the leaf blower afterwards to help even and dry all the excess out...
