Nothing fancy to write. Just another winter prep job for my girlfriend's 4Runner.

Process:

QEW wash

AIO with polishing pad @ 6

Zaino Z2 Pro w/ ZFX x 2

Zaino Z16 x 2 on tires (needs to be buffed)

As usual, let me know what you think.

that hood shot (as with the rest of the vehicle) is impressive. Did you use ZFX with the new Z2 pro...or is there no need any longer?

Whoops...forgot to mention that. I'll edit.

I did use ZFX, and it is still necessary when applying mulitple coats or for initial applications (or Z1 if you choose).

Too bad I've got 2 bottles of the old Z2 sitting at home and I only use it on my own personal cars now unless I get the request from a customer. Looks like it might be some time before I actually get to try the Z2 pro.

Winter prep in January?!? Damn New England. The car looks awesome though.

Haha...we've had two decent snow storms, followed by two weeks of 60-70 degree days; then it's supposed to be back in the 30's this week. Pretty wacky weather.

4Runner looks great! :up

I detailed mine a few weeks back and had it sitting in the garage for a week since it was raining, but I had to drive it around, so it's a mess again. Glad to see you can pull it outside and not have it get dirty!

i tried to convince my GF to get a black or green 4runner but she said "No I dont like that SuperSport hood"

Classic:dance

The hood is an option, unless you get the sport model (if I remember correctly).

They are decent cars. A little small (but I'm 6'4") and they are definitely lacking for power. Overall, no major problems with 83k miles.

Zane, firstly excellent detail, very nice!

Secondly did you cover the grey (gray) parts of the car with Zaino, including the footsteps (they look plastic and unpainted) light lenses and bullbars ?

The paint and lights got Zaino, but not the plastic. The grille guard really needs to be repainted.

I think they are hold up pretty well. They have somewhere around 45k miles on them. They drive and ride pretty well. Much better tires than the stock Goodyears.

i still cannot believe that it is a 93, your car is friggin nuts,

cleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn
