476s over NXT

About to winterize my car. Its allready has a coat of NXT. Will 476 have any problems with the NXT? Will a combo like this protect the whole winter?

When I do this detail, itll be the last time until march at least that the car gets washed.

Any suggestions welcome...

I think the #476 is a very good choice. In my experience, the collinite waxes are not very particular about what they go on top of.I have used #476 over Natty's blue, P21s Zymol carbon, concours etc without any problems.Just do 2 or three coats and i think you will be good to go.

Yeah, do a few coats.

I don't get the "last time it'll be washed until march" part though  I mean, you really oughta do *some* kind of wash as often as you can. If winter [stuff] builds up and sits on the paint for months it's gonna do a number on *any* kind of LSP, and I'd sure want to get some of the salt off from time to time.

Yea, I can see how letting it sit for ahile is bad, but I dont really have another choice. My car isnt garaged, I dont have accesss to a garage. I dont have warm water to use to clean, and I dont enjoy cleaning whens its 5 degrees out, (35F or so). But yes, I would like to give it a reasonable cleaning over the winter, believe me, its painful to say I cant wash the car for 6 months. Any suggestions on a winter cleaning method?

How long should I wait between applying coats of 476? I've never used Collinite. Also how long to wait to put 476 on after applying NXT?

Thanks for the help!

Grease- I'd wait a few days after the NXT before putting on the 476S, maybe do it after the next wash. I don't have any first-hand experience with the NXT but I wouldn't want the 476S to mess with it.

Likewise, I wait a day or so when layering 476S. Yeah, I know, that's not very convenient...hence the "do it after the next wash" advice.

For winter washes in your situation, I'd find a touchless that has a forced-air dryer. Better than nothing and the Collinite works fairly well with that kind of wash.

Thanks, Ill try those suggestions.

Ordered some ONR, as I dont have a touchless car wash close by. IVe only read good things about ONR, hopefully this will work.
