#425... I hate when people say WOW!

I used a lot of there stuff years ago. The shelflife of the polishes was not that great as they smell very foul now. I did like using the 217 (which was 185 when I got it) on my used cars when I had a lot. My only gripe was the dust, but it was good looking stuff.

I was playing with the 336ng the other day too. I'll play with this stuff a little more when I get a chance and tell about it. I found it in my storage along with a bunch of other stuff.

My favorite was the 1016 wash and poly wax though and I still use it this very day. Best stuff ever and great money maker too! When I used this on my used cars back in the day, my customers would say I had the cleanest best looking cars for sale. Water would sheet off the car very nicely.

I did use 1000p and pw on my Jeep years ago and it looked great and lasted also. 1000p is great stuff, but needs to be topped with PW. 1000p takes on water spots bad sometimes and will marr easy cause it is very thick. Only on certain colors though. Put a couple layers of PW on it and it will resist water spots. I topped it with Z8 and and it was superb. It liked the crosslinking with Z8 a lot!

This combo looks great on golds and lighter metallic colors the best. On darker colors there is better choices out there.

Looks like the Autopia discount is no longer good. When you type in "Autopia" , and click recalculate, it creates another line on the invoice that says discount and there's a $0.00. If you type in something other than Autopia, the discount line doesn't come up on the invoice at all. This tells me that it was a used discount at one point, but not anymore.

So do I order directly from FK? Who else carries it?

i would order it direct from them as it will insure a fresh batch and not to mention the $4.99 flat fee shipping no matter how small or big the order is...

just to note... there is NO autopia or any discount for that matter anymore, as it would result in them having to raise prices. their prices are pretty reasonable as is anyway...

You can say that again!

I still can't get over how great this product is! I almost feel guilty for paying so little for it! :bigups

I forgot to mention that my order of FK 425 included a free sample bottle of 216 Poly Wipe FX, which I thought was pretty cool. I'm looking forward to trying it simply based on how impressed I am with the 425!

Looking over the product line, does anyone know the difference between the 216 Poly Wipe and the 2685 Pink Wax? They look to be very similar.

My gl. of 425 came with the hand glaze....

I do like 425, a little goes a long way.

I have found that the 4oz spray bottles that are sold on the FK site are VERY good for spraying this product efficiently..they give you a very light mist - here's the link

I just put my 425 in an empty bottle of Z6!

Funny, in that link, FK1 sells a "loupe" so you can examine your paint for contaminants!

AutoInt sells loupes too. I sorta prefer lower-power ones, but they *are* very handy. I use mine a lot more often than I thought I would.

I still have my loupe from my film photography days (I'm mostly digital now).

What are you looking for when you use the loupe on the paint?

I use illuminated ones for detailing work (also ones I'm not worried about having in the shop :D ). If you use your photog one, hold it up off the paint (I know that probably sounds obvious, but I use different loupes differently).

I inspect marring, chips, and especially apparent contamination. Sometimes I get surprised when I take a close-up look at "something wrong with the paint"; is it a stain, a blob of something that's on/in the paint, actually marred/damaged paint...what *is really* wrong with whatever has caught my eye?
