#425... I hate when people say WOW!

No, he corrected it a bit later. He wrote that it is "to be used on a wet vehicle".

Yeah I did change it seconds prior to Bence's post. I corrected myself after I re-read it. I use it on a wet vehicle only after each wash.

Guys, the topic of this thread is 425, not Wizards, not HGAS, and not FX. If you wish to discuss those products, please start a thread about them. Let's keep this discussion centered on 425 please, thank you.

Bill, IMHO these are organic parts of the original discussion, because there are differences which can be understood & solved when you talk about other products too, for comparison.

I hope it is now clear to everybody why is 425 great, and especially why it is a great QD.

finally had the car washed since getting the 425 and fx100 sealant.

FX100 is my new wheel product. Sprayed the banana smelling liquid onto the wheels and onto may Sonus polishing towel. Buffed off to a very high shine. No hazing to buff out. A sprayable sealant is pure GENIUS! Did the whole car twice with it took two seconds. My P-car smelled like a giant Bannana split. and very nice shine no less than applying a layer of Klasse SG.

Then I went for the #425. The spray doesn't mist out of the bottle like the FX100. I shot each panel and let the pink stuff run down the doors and fenders before I buffed it out. As I stretched over the hood and trunk going around the car I could feel something I hadn't felt with any product before, My jeans were smoothly sliding over the paint, more like gliding! The previuous reviewers were dead on Slick is exactly the right word.

this is definitely the quickest I was able to get this much shine. I even took time to run Klasse VLRP over my iterior black plastic and on the exterior windshield trim. 1Z Tiepeklfekrlerjelrer on my tires (love that stuff do deep and dark) and I was done in 15 minutes! a first.

Yes, the #425 is a very slick product. However, I would be a bit concerned about your "jeans" sliding over the paint. Not a good thing to have anything rubbing against the paint.

Just a thought. :D

hmm...maybe I should sell a non-marring rubber coated telescoping pole with a buffing attachment on the end? Would you buy one? Very uselful for the SUV guys me thinks. :think2

FX-100 as a SPRAY Glaze SEALANT is PURE GENIUS! ~ Based on the Gloss, Protection and Durability ratings supplied by FK - would FX-100 be better described as a combination of 2180 & 425? http://www.fk1usa.com/products-consumer.htm#2180 ...Banana & Bubble Gum, huh!? :getdown Should FX-100 be used Before or After 425? ...oops, wrong thread - I'll try FX-100 thread, thanks anyway.

Based on my experience this weekend, 425 should be the last thing you put on your paint. Its like encapsulating the whole car in a 'teflon' clear bra. I'm going to put some on my wheels which have two FX100 applications.

Just got my order of #425. I haven't used it yet, but I can say one thing . . . it sure does smell nice :)

I'm order two more bottles of Fx100 and 425. I don't even want to entertain the idea of running out before I have more. :p Haven't had this much slippery shine with so little effort ever.

I'm going to ask for a sample of the pink wax. There has to be a special formula of Finish Kare products for maximum shine/Maximum slickness.

They threw in a sample of that hi-temp wax (I think that's what it's called) with my order.

So far after doing one door, I like the 425, but I HATE the sprayer it came with, had to transfer it into another bottle with a different sprayer to even use it (which is fine, that one quart bottle is a bit unwieldly anyway, I just filled up a smaller empty bottle I had that works great).

On a 32 oz bottle. I use this type of sprayer head with good results. I can more easily control the mist than with the standard variety. In fact, I use these for all my QDs.

I got a sample of the Hi-Temp wax with mine too.

I'm using an empty BF spray bottle. It was both empty and handy when Spilchy's sample arrived. Sorta wish I'd used a clear bottle instead as I find the fluorescent pink color pretty cool...might transfer it one of these days.

I noticed that the gallon jug of 425 was *full*. Virtually no airspace; they didn't skimp when they filled it up.

All FK stuff can cure as a layer-package. However, FX-100 is slicker when it can cure for 12 hours or a day. 425 is optional for maintenance.

Like others before me have mentioned, damn I hate this place...

I just ordered a gallon of 425 and now I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival. :)
