42* & wax

rotary dude
This Thursday is supposed to be the only nice day for awhile. Problem is it's only supposed to be about 42* but sunny

I want to try and sneak in one more coat of wax on my truck before winter really sets in. I've already waxed my truck 3 months ago with Nufinish( Hey it's durable as hell) but I would sleep better at night knowing my truck was doubled up on protection. No claying or polishing, just straight up wash & wax Think I'll be alright?

I've read on Mother's forums that most paste waxes are good down to about 10 degrees. However, you will start to have some problems when you get below 50 degrees. It will take longer to set up before you can buff it off.

That's what I was thinking. Instead of the usual 15-20 mins to dry, I'll wait closer to an hour per panel. I'll work my way around the truck and wait awhile and do the finger test. Just need to make sure I put it on thin enough.

Finally I can get some pics on here! Anyone else think I'll be alright or will I have problems?

It shouldn't be a problem. It may take longer for the LSP (NuFinish) to set up. I had a friend who painted cars and would chastise anyone if they used anything other than NUFinish on his painted cars.

Let it sit longer to set up!

Nu-Finish really?

I have some nice property in New Mexico I'd like to sell you

He's saying that nufinish is a sub par product at best and if you honestly beleive your freind about it he would also like to take full advantage of you.

Man If I had the funds, I'd pack it up and move to NM in the blink of an eye. Can't stand cold.

Yea Nu-finish ain't the greatest but it works for now.
