Yeah, you're supposed to go with other trucks. The old addage that I know is something like "Go in groups of at least three. One to pull you out when you get stuck, and one to go for help when the other guy's truck breaks."
 
Looks like a lot of fun. A few years back, I rode my mountain bike on one of those trails in the GW Nat'l forest as part of a group ride---don't remember which one. Took about 3-4 hours to make it up and down the trail. Beautiful country, especially in the fall. :up
