Had to share some final results with you guys. While I've been a car detailing enthuisiast for 20 years I have learned so much from all you guys. I attached some pictures of my finished '08 Hyundai Veracruz. Basically the process was as follows:



Wash w/ Zymol car wash

Clay with Clay Magic

3M Scratch remover w/ Sonus Yellow pad and PC 7424

3M Performance Finish w/ Sonus Blue pad and PC 7424



I wanted to add a couple more steps but my weekend ran short as I got called to work.



While I was prepared to go with some of the exotic products you guys use I found these 3M products locally and didnt want to wait for a mail order.



Hyundai calls this Black Diamond and these 3M products really made the metallic POP!

Nice job. One question - did you try an orange pad before shooting for a yellow? I used the sonus pads this weekend (orange with Sonus SFX-2 and blue with SFX-3) and I was quite happy.

I dont have the Sonus Orange...I have their Yellow, White and Blue I believe this is the SFX-1, SFX-2 and SFX-3 pad arrangement.
