3m Smr

I have been in formed by 3m UK that I can't get 3m SMR over here as it is a US only product.

I've been told that the nearest product to it over here is

3M Perfect-it III Machine Polish.

Have you guys heard of this or ever used it, or is it a UK only product?

It will produce best results by machine, but it can be used by hand. Just be prepared to spend a long, and I mean long, time working the product to get the abrasives to break down.

Um... I've never heard of "working the product to get the abrasives to break down"..... What does that mean and how do you know when you've accomplished that???

I plan to use 3M SMR for Dark Colored Cars on mine this weekend by hand.

Let me know...

The abrasive are diminishing. This means as you work the product in, the abrasives break down, geting smaller and smaller, hopefully leaving a haze free finish if worked in well enough.

Having a PC makes it easier because it works it in much quicker, breaking down the abrasives quicker.

Hope That Helps!
