3M IHG before GEPC or other way around?

Based on a recommendation of a friend I followed 3M IHG with GEPC. The results were very good and the GEPC seemed to back out some of the micro scratching the IHG created. The GEPC also helped clean up some remaining IHG smears. 3M IHG is great stuff, but its tough to fully remove.

My concerns with the above approach were that the GEPC might clean out the fillers placed down by the IHG.....but the imperical results seem to show that is not the case.

I have recently read a number of threads where people have started with GEPC and followed with 3M IHG. Just wondering why and what the results were like? Opinions?

I followed gepc with ihg but felt that suface apperance was the same or even slightly worse.. IHG is a pain to use. I however have great results with GEPC, then followed by megs show car glaze no 7 , or hand polish. Both seem to add more wetness to the GEPCs finish, I always GEPC first then the glaze.

I have had excellent reslults with Megs Swirl Free, GEPC, Megs hand polish, topped with p21s.

from what i read that the ihg should go after the gepc cuz u want the filler and like u said gepc will remove them. in my situation i do smr-sepc-ihg-s100 and the result are great. plus u need to work ihg until it's all gone for it to give u the wetness which takes forever while show car glaze no 7 is not.

ive had none of the problems people have said about removing no 7 , i find it easier and to give better results than ihg. I have almost stopped using it now i have megs hand polish which is better than them both....and cheaper!
