Good late evening everyone.
Through a bit of assistance and research, I came across a product called Meguiars ColorX that could possibly help restore my '92 Chevy 1500's paint, at least to a certain degree.
It was never taken care of that well (cosmetically speaking) before I purchased it (was a local electric company fleet truck), and shows the abuse with very dull paint (looks like flat red spray paint), many scratches (excluding the bed), and LOTS of oxidation.
My main issue with it has always been the "dullness". Even after washing it, after the water dries up, it's all dull again (whereas a "normal" vehicles shines). For fun the other day, I applied some generic wax to it for the first time, and while that certainly helped a great deal, the oxidation still remains.
Went over to Wal-Mart earlier to find the ColorX stuff, with no luck, but did come across a product called 3M Finish Restorer.
Does anyone here know much about this stuff?
Does it work better than ColorX?
Edit - Here's what I'm working with:

I don't think the picture does that much justice in regards to the overall red paint dullness and oxidation, but you can look at the rear bumper and see that it is very gray, which I'd like to make nice and black again. Also, at least somewhat, you can see the dullness of the paint on the tailgate.
