Hi :)

I have been searching the forum to find the answer to my question, yet to no avail.

I am looking for some pads to use on my Dewalt DW443, yet there aren't many brands to chose from in this country.

My dealer sell's meguiars and 3m product should be possible.

3m's site isn't very clear from what i see. Also they seem to be having some strange pads :p

So i want to know what the equivalent pads are for the Sonüs SFX or DAS pads.

Also meg's pads seem to be quite expensive over here, over 100USD for the 3 foam pads :)

Anyway, i hope someone can help me out.

He unlucky fellow Belgian, I have the same problem...

3M and equal cost gold over here !

You didn't reply on my PM...

But don't worry, I will try 3Mpads very soon, local auto-shop here sell them at a reasonable price.

I contacted the Meguiars importer here but he does not reply on mail or phone ...

I find the DAS pads rather soft, compared with the SFX pads wich are harder in material.

The SFX pads have the tendency to wear out very quickly.

3M pads are expensive but very durable, my local bodyshop uses black and white foam pads for polishing, and a waffle-black pad for finalizing the paint. They have a long lifetime (about 6 months in a bodyshop, daily use ! )

To get them cheap it's still worth ordering from the US (wathever company) then buying in Belgium

Don't know if it can be mentionend here but the Meguiars site has a nice forum too, with lot's of info and tips (of course mainly for meg. products...)

I mailed a certain Mike Philips about our problem here in Belgium with the lack of service from Meguiars and he will look into it !

Cheers

3M has only Wool pads and two lines of foam

White = Compounding

Black = Polishing

The foam pads are either flat or "Convoluted" with a rounded edge.

3M is more of a professional (read Bodyshop/Service Center) line when it comes to pads and when it comes right down to it 3 types of pads is all they would need. Cut and Polish
