I just picked up a 200g bar of this stuff.

Anyone here use this stuff? Opinions?

btw, I know mothers is good, I have used it in the past with sucess, but looking for a larger bar without all the frills...lube, wax samples, etc. like mothers has

I've never even seen the product. Let us know your results. Also, what lube you will be using.

BTW how much is the clay?

Where did you buy it?? and $$? TYIA

I like the 3m bar, not to sticky and easy to mold, the container it comes in is handy too (will not dry out).

I usally use Mothers Showtime as lube. I used to use Gold Class and water, but the bar starts to falls apart to quickly.

Apparently it's the same as ClayMagic (just bigger), but never having used one I can't say if it's true or not.

Cost in Australia is AUD$35 (USD~$27).

ive been recommended it by various people on here (sorry i forgot names!) and will be purchasing some this weekend if i make it down to my friends' garage.

I have used the 3M Clay Bar. It is exactly the same bar as the 200grm blue Clay Magic Bar. Works fine but I like the Mothers bar better.

this was a free "kit" sent out by VW to owners that were having bad windshield problems. The kit included the clay + 3M's Gloss Enhancing Spray.

Spilchy, I thought the 3m claybar and the claymagic bar(their larger one) were the same size 200g? You say it's like the claymagic bar on steroids. Is it that much better??? Do tell...:)

I bought the 200g bar from the 3M website. I think it was $21 or $22. It resembles the Claymagic bar but is a bit stickier. All in all, it ranks pretty much up there.

:nixweiss Could have sworn it was larger (that's what I meant about "steroids"). I just bought the Clay Magic for the first time b/c it was cheap at Pep Boys and it seemed smaller than the 3M at first glance (I forgot how big 3M bar was).

I could be wrong. If it's the same size as 3M, and 3M actually is Clay Magic (or vice versa), then we all got ripped off! (I haven't used Clay Magic - so take that with a grain of salt!)

But, I do find the 3M to be a bit "industrial." I have really used and used it, and it has kept up it's abilities and has not shredded or come apart. It's fairly tacky too compared to Mothers. I recommend it only if it's better than Clay Magic. If people feel it's the same, then I'd stick with Clay Magic b/c of price and ease of purchase.

3M has a nice screw top canister as you can see from the pic. I have a little glass baby food type jar that I keep my other clay in with a few squirts of lube to stay moist.
