can anyone tell me the difference between hd cut and aat compound.

I can`t tell much by the website

TIA

Cut is kind of a medium cut compound with a very long work time. Finishes nice but won`t cut the really nasty stuff. Work time provides flexibility, though

The AAT provides max cut, and does it FAST. Two passes on the rotary and you`re done. Won`t let you work it much more than 2 passes, 3 max. But that`s all you need. Also, the AAT is bodyshop safe.

thanks, they should tell that in the description.
I like 3D products, I think Ill try 501 and 502

both cut and 501 are body shop safe. Cut is far more user friendly while 501 has a bit more cut and a significantly shorter working time. Both compounds can be a nightmare to remove especially on softer paint

I had trouble removing 501 on very soft Harley paint, however HD Cut wiped off effortlessly on the same Harley.

502 is an animal, so far the best single step I`ve used. And both 501 and 502 work extremely fast.

As stated above, cut is a very user friendly compound more on the lighter side of cutting ability for a compound. 501 is very aggressive and great for the very nasty stuff
