In all seriousness, I have been looking for something better than my halogen lighting for correction and this may be a good fit. Great idea John!

going to home depot or lowes any time soon lol? bye bye halogens. you also can put a few pennies back into your wallet with the LED bc the Halogens use alot more electricity! save a little $ off the utility bill!

They are in Big A's hands to try out. With the planned Rupes/Rotary shoot out thought it be nice to add Led/halogen.

Ah, maybe see if they can show rotary-induced holograms (the lighter the better)...you know, the sort that you can *barely* see under the SunGun or natural sunlight. That'd kinda be my acid-test.

I love using LED's, they are second to none for holograms, but they are somewhat deficient when looking for swirls and RIDS. Halogens are great for swirls and RIDS, but are hard to pick up holograms.



Maybe someone needs to build a fixture that has both? :spy:

Thanks for mentioning that. I can't see *very* faint holograms under any of my LEDs, and I was wondering if this setup would show them.

I tried several sets and did have that problem. These were chosen because the reflector style is like the Brinkman.



Also too much light can be a problem.



Many types will create more of a wash.effect. I have several pictures of how effective they are even on yellow.
