The background:

2005 350Z. Basically neglected. Washed by hand sometimes, sometimes at car wash.

Garage kept about 66% of the time. Daily driver. 35,600 miles.

What I did :

Dish soap wash

Sonus Clay

Menzerna IP - LC white pad - PC speed 5

Menzerna FP - LC white pad - PC speed 4.5

Z-7 wash

Z-AIO

Z-6

Z-CS

Z-6

Z-8

Meg's WB on the wheels

What I learned:

Menzerna IP - LC white pad - PC speed 5 will not remove etched water spots. I guess I should have tried an orange pad.

Here are the pics:

Great work on it, next time go for the orange pad and maybe some SIP would help some more for you and PC set at 6. Overall it's looking great.......:bigups

Nice job. That silver is glowing. Did you dress the tires?

No I did not dress the tires - mainly because I don't know what I want to dress them with yet.

Any suggestions?

Very nice...sweet looking Z...

Thanks!. I forgot I still had my snow wheels/tires on as opposed to the 18's. For lack of a better term, kind of gives it a 'beefy' look.

Seems like the pc has trouble on nissan/infiniti clear. I needed rotory with compound and polish to cut. And look out for the hiding swrils in gold and silver metallics.

very nice just clean up the EX tips and it would be almost perfect

You know, I used Barkeepers Friend on the tips and that worked well to get the soot off.

I do need one more step though. Any suggestions?

Check out the new Ultima tire dressing version 2.

Also Michelin has some new products for cleaning and dressing tires both of which have been getting excellent reviews.

Orange pad and SIP would have done the trick for you.

If you ever need anything stronger Scratch X by Meguairs works well at multiple levels, as does the green pads. I use EDGE pads.

excellent work... if you didn't have snow tires on it I would say that thing never leaves the garage.

I ran all season tires this whole year in the snow, the Z does surprisingly well. Next year,

might have to get some snow tires. I think it could be alittle more fun.

Thats what I like to see. A silverstone Z in Cincinnati with Snow tires.
