350Z, A8, Ferrari... (56k warning)

It's been so long since we did the 350Z. I think we did clay, DACP, wolfgang pre-polish and Blackfire sealant (oh, we did this at my house and it was from 12am-6am...i got to make decisions!). I think Mike was surprised that Blackfire is only slightly less easy to use then the Wolf (he did mention the MF towel gumming up when buffing it off, so he simply switched to a clean portion of the towel).

Tires got Poorboys Bold and Bright. Windows... uhm. He did those at the show while I was sleeping. The show was wnycarclubs.com 2nd annual. Not pictured is a 3000GT VR-4 that we did that won the owner a excellence award. :)

Yes, he likes Audis. This was done in late april I think. Clay, DACP, wolfgang pre-polish and wolfgang sealant went on it.

And yours truly putting Megs #16 on a Beretta:

And that's the Ferrari! Notice the Testarossa flares before the rear wheels! :p Anyway. The car wasin't in bad shape. Clay, DACP, Vanilla Moose, and #16 on it. :)

If you want to see all of the pictures for any of these vehicles they are all sitting in the IMPROVED gallery at http://wwwddetail.com/gallery

i will post some 3kgt pics in a min!

EDIT: Oh, the 350Z i am a lil upset about that!!! the people at the show, and the folks running it said we would have cleaned up the awards if we entered it, but alas :( I didn't drive it over to the reg. tent, i just put it on display... oh well there is always more cars and more shows next season

Nice work! :xyxthumbs

Now the white windshield wipers on the Beretta represent the height of class and style......:o

Next time I'm going to be prepared with starbucks doubleshot and redbull. :)

:bounce Yes I'm an impatient person. Mama never liked that much. "we don't make corey mad..." bwahahaha.

:) We need to organize the cars next year ahead of time! Bwhaha he he he. It was fun being able to see people stop and look and just be proud of our work--made me happy. :)

Guys...awesome work all around!

I especially like the Z...

Have you thought of dressing the actual treads for shows? I have seen people use AA Tire Foam with great results and it comes off relatively easy after driving.

Thanks very much

I actually did dress the tread as soon as i got it up on the ramp, i used a real lite dressing the stoner more shine stuff. All you really have to do is hit it with a little degreaser before you try and throw it back on the road.

normally i would say :nono to dressing the tread, but in this case well I just HAD to. It was so perfect all around, i couldn't have dirt on the tires it would have ruined it!

Let me say though that we tried and even asked other people to try and find a defect in the paint. NOTHING, not even the smallest of mar from a towel!! (the hood had minimal marring because it was CF), but the paint PERFECT!

I especially liked the Audi! :xyxthumbs.

I recall seeing on a Mother car show on ESPN the tip to use some QD on the treads during shows

VM + #16.

And, well, I tried Mother's sealer glaze, Meguiars #7, and VM side by side, and I came to conclude that VM did the most for me. :)

Nice Z and a beautiful green color on that Audi!

By the way, the new Audi A8L won the luxury car shootout from Motor Trend in this month's issue.

I looked into getting a jag like that, but for that cost, there are several others that i would consider first, Achmm 350Z

I think that i need to wait a few years to get that too, i would look funny driving it, i am too young :P

You could either 1) get a fidora or 2) get a feather boa. Your choice.:o

great job guys. especially on the Z. anything used on the wheels? (polish, sealant?)

you guys do a lot of shows. is it advertising? or is that a lot of your clientele base?
