35% off group buy for Microfibertech.com's 360gsm plush terry

Got my order today. The yellow 360's (the ones on sale) are very nice, much nicer than the plush towels I currently have so very much worth the sale price. The medium blacks are nice as well and the glass towels are way different than the glass towels i have now and I'm excited to try them (more like a zero nap huck type towel but made of microfiber). The Ultra Plush (530gsm) is nice, but doesn't seem a ton plusher than the 360 to be honest, I'll definitely use it.

Now for the good part, the 460gsm Korean towel. This thing is serious. It is ultra, ultra soft, long nap on both sides unlike the other plush towels and looks like probably the nicest mf I've owned. I'm definitely ordering up more of these. Only knock on it is that the rest of their towels all have those awesome sticker tags instead of sew ins, except the 460 korean for some reason. If they added that, it would be a knockout for sure. Here are some pics

No idea man, I'm going to see if Ian will do a group buy on it for us. Think we can drum up some interest?

EDIT: It looks like the sewn in tags were a manufacturing mistake and the next run will have stickers. Ian said they'd do a group buy or discount code for us if we're interested.

I can second the gold towels being very nice...got my order yesterday too...he threw in a pack of 530's since my 5% coupon code wasn't working. I'm very happy with both...gonna zip-lock them up soon. You have me interested in those 460's though...might be in my next order

Im MOST interested in how those glass towels do...inside windshields are the biggest paint for me...i guess cause i want them PERFECT. Please do test em out and take a good long look in the sun to see how they really did :-D

Looks like they added some new stuff to the site and the Korean towels are on there now. They're not cheap but they definitely seem worth it.

Btw, the glass towels are excellent. I have a couple friends in the tinting business, and are die hard huck towel and Sprayway guys. We did the front windows on my wife's subaru yesterday and I brought the glass towels and D120 over and they were blown away.

Those Koreans look very good. I just have a question though, which is how do these compare to the pakshaks?

These are the ones I ordered: Microfiber Glass Towel 16"x16" (pack of 10)

They also sent me a prototype of a new glass towel, but it seemed like the same material with a little different edge that is heavier duty and rounded. I can't see it being a huge upgrade, but if they went that direction and they were the same price they'd be fine I'm sure. It also looks like they actually have a korean waffle weave drying towel as well now.

Might be a good deal on towels but the shipping sucks... $7.95 minimum for a 10 pack of ultra light towels? And $10.20 for priority mail...seriously?

If you only want a few towels then i'd go with someone else, but for a bulk buy (which i'd recommend anyway) i'd for sure go w/Ian. I got 4 10 packs of the 360gsm's, a 2 pack of the 36x24 (the big mofos) waffle weave drying towels, 1 other big mofo drying towel but regular microfiber all for $11 shipping. And he threw in a free pack of the 530's which ARE to me much thicker and softer with heavier nap than the 360's. CLOSE to a pakshak that i have, not quite as thick, but side by side and even when feeling, you have to really look to see that the pak one is a LITTLE thicker.

So uh, I need some of these towels (yellow 360s) before the sale price runs out. Should I just go ahead an place an order or do you think I should call Ian to get a better deal? Is there some sort of group buy price in effect? Any code to plug in? Just looking for the best way and the best deal to purchase. Thanks.

I doubt you would get it better than the group buy

I agree, make a purchase. News5 or New5 (cant remember which) gives 5% off...if it doesn't work (like it didn't with me) just give him a ring. It didn't work for me so he threw in a few extra towels for me for free. He's answered my emails with any questions ive had. Id grab 3 packs if you can swing it. Only other thing you may consider is if you want to wait for another group buy on a different towel. I know conversations about the Korean towels have been swirling on here but im not sure if he's gonna put them up for a group buy or not...but they are more expensive. If you want a LOT of towels, sign up for the whole sale account...price is much cheaper but you have to buy more.

Sounds like a couple of you guys really have Ian's ear. If anyone speaks or emails him, could you ask if/when he plans on having more low-nap, edgeless towels in stock? The white ones were out of stock for a while, and now they are gone from the site. I hope he gets a replacement soon.

You can email him here if you'd like ian@sdiwholesale.com. I told him i heard about him on autopia so if you do too it might bring more attention to the fact that he's getting lots of business from here :)

Yea, you want to jump on those yellow 360's for $14.90 or whatever they are. Some distributors sell their 360s for over $5 a towel, so even at full price from them they're a good deal, let alone at that price.

EDIT: Group buy is on for the Korean towels, thread is here: http://www.autopia.org/forum/good-d...-korean-detail-towels-microfibertech-com.html

The sale on the yellow 360s seems to have shut down early. I thought I had to monday to order them @ $14.90. I wonder if they reached their limit on buyers even though 2 days ago it was still in the "20s" as far as customers needed for the sale price. Thanks for the email, I'll check with Ian.
