joyriide1113

There is no cure!
lthe car is still new but despite the small swirl removing i did with mothers powerpolish when i first got it. the fillers (which what it seems its pretty much much all made of) have completely washed away. so the dp max wax had to be removed and started all over.

the car was clayed 3 weeks ago.

1. dp SSE via polishing pad rotory 1000rpms
2. dp MSE via polishing pad pc speed 5
3. klasse aio
4. klasse SG 4x's

(by the way, klasse sg is really easy to use as long as u find u';re way. it took me 12 tries with it but i got it down perfectly... )

5. wheels were cleaned once with simplegreen extreme
6. polished with aio
7. sg 2x's
8. tires got mothers fx tire shine 2x's

(one coat was more than enough. 2 coats made it gloss up nice in the sun)

Well done.

Can you describe your SG application and removal technique?

i used to always bother with trying to apply too thin. but wasnt sure if it was on or not. so i just apply regularly obviously trying not to waste product. let it dry for a good hour or so. the last few applications i only gave it 30 minutes. soaked a mf towel and wringed it out well so it was damp. wiped the sg off the surface (which is very easy this way) and followed it with a dry mf to buff off streaks or residue...same effort as buffing off souveran.

Allow me a rare dissent here. While this looks pretty good, I have found that SG dulls the overall look. I think a far better combo is AIO plus a carnauba like Souveran which would have had more wetness and depth.

The wheels look terrific.

four coats for the fact that each application adds a bit more. despite what anyone says. 3 coats was more than enough tho.

as for the carnuba. i have a good carnuba topper planned for it.

TURTLEWAX ULTRA or TRADE SECRET.

AIO AND A CARNUBA would not be a good combo for the fact that i live in s. florida and we've been reaching some crazy highs lately.

I think my earlier comments were a bit harsh...my apologies for threadcrapping on the SG. :(

The BMW really looks great! I used FX Tire Shine on the ES today and got the same great tire look.

Car came out nice. Was thinking of AIO + SG x 3 for winter protection. Wonder what kinda look it would give a silver metallic car?

GREAT work!

How do you like the new 3?

VERY COOL! its just one of those things that can only be described when u drive it. it accelerates differently, handles differently, and feels a lot different than any other car i test drove. any car that goes from 0-60 in under 6 sec. is more than enough for me. but sine i read that u'll be in the market for a new car, i strongly sugegst taking the lexus is350 and the bmw 330i into consideration. both would be in the same price range with the exception of the bmw being a little bit more expensive.

I think my earlier comments were a bit harsh...my apologies for threadcrapping on the SG.

dont worry about it. i take constructive critism very well. :bigups
