I thought I seen a post that stated that CMA would replace the two Terry Bonnet's with two MF

Bonnet's for the difference in price.

Just got off the phone with CMA and the person stated that I would have to buy them separately

they would not substitute.

I know, they told me the samething. They told me the MF bonnets are on backorder also. My order was delayed 3 days and they shipped it without the terry bonnets. They terrys are supposed to be shipped friday, but that is somewhat up in the air.

I ended up getting both kinds of bonnets from CMA with my PC accessory kit. The terry bonnets work really well for applying liquid wax. I've never waxed a car so fast as I did using this method.

Short Cut,

I also have the pc with accessory kit but when applying liquid wax i used the white pad. Is this not the proper way to do it? Should I switch to the terry bonnet. I kinda thought the terry bonnet would be better for like a cleaner/wax? Would you use the dark gray pad for glazes or liquid wax?

Thanks, Bill

I just ordered and got the same story. I'm a little annoyed - when I asked for the substitution, the order taker/salesperson said that the kits are prepackaged and they couldn't do it. When I received CMA's "package", they shipped everything except for the wool pad and the white foam pads. So much for prepackaged! :down

I don't think I'd be as annoyed if they had said: "Sorry, but no substitutions" rather than making up a reason.

(I ordered just after the new year, received the first "package" about a week later (I'm on the westcoast), and the second package with the wool and the foam about a week later.)

I know what you mean about being annoyed. They act like its our fault they don't have enough inventory. They said they would substitute some MF for the terry one's but I would have to pay for them. I told them to forget that, I already paid $60 for a kit that probably costs $20 to make.

Did anyone else get one that was damaged in shipping?

I know - sounds crazy - but the screw end of the velcro backing pad actually made a tear in my gray polishing pad. I'm sure that after a wash or two, it'll be bound for the garbage.

Think I have to drop CMA a line..

this is an exterior only , i will focus on paint process.
- onr wash , claybar with onr lube
- green masking tape on trims and badges
- optimum hyper polish spray on hex polish pad on Flex DA

Looks great cos.
One question though. Why use the M205 after the Hyper Polish? They can both be used as a finishing polish with the right pad? I am just curious. I hope you don't mind.
Also, the befores looked like there was some orange peel, and I couldn't see any on the afters. Did you do anything to correct that?

i didn`t deal with orange peel on this car.
i couldn`t finish with only hyper polish , it leave a haze. i may not use it right or long enough, so i have to follow with 205 for finish.
on this paint hyper -polish has more cutting than 205 , i did 3 test spots and hyper cuts better , but when i did 2 steps using both i got the result i was look for.

Interesting about the Hyper Polish. I think that you are right about not working it long enough. I used it on a Charcoal 2007 Q7 a few weeks ago, and loved how it finished.

Regardless, the bimmer looks beautiful!!
