In attempting to determine the best product to use on the plastic rear window of my roadster I contacted 303, Plexus, Meguiar’s, and Lexol. At the time I started this project I was unaware of Novus. Here are exact quotes from their email replies:
303 Aerospace Protectant: “The rating for SPF is a # 40.� In a phone conversation they said that this is the equivalent of slightly over 98% UV blockage.
Plexus Plastic Cleaner: “Plexus does not contain ‘UV Inhibitors’.�
Meguiar’s #10, #17, & #18: They were very evasive, but eventually they said, “At Meguiar's we add UV sunscreens and test its performance in our labs for effectively. The #10, #17 & #18 are used to clean plastic. I don't believe we claim any UV protection.�
Lexol’s Vinylex: They have been extremely evasive, and I’m currently working my way up the corporate ladder in an attempt to get a straight answer. At this point it would appear that their prominent display of "DH-60 UV sunscreen filters out damaging ultraviolet rays while protecting the surface from fading and cracking" is a deliberate attempt to mislead prospective consumers into thinking that Vinylex provides the same protection as would be provided by a product with an SPF rating of 60.
I’m currently doing a side by evaluation of 303 AP and RaggTopp on my Haartz cloth top. There is no practical method of testing UV shielding that I’m aware of, so I’m just looking at water proofing and durability.

303 just now emailed me saying that they do not recommend using 303 AP on any fabric, so I guess it means another top washing and makes RaggTopp the winner by default.

I spray affected area, rub with damp MF and viola, stain is gone. If I spray a heavier pattern then I use the damp mf followed by a dry one. Works great, took all of the stains out of the carpet in my house and the beige floor mats in my Infiniti. I also have a steamer/vac and will try it with that also.

My original post should have said HTFG topped with AP. Dennis of 303 has told me that HTFG has "some" UV blockers, but they have not tested for the percentage of blockage.

Let me complicate your decision.
Given the RAVE reviews of HTFG ( see http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000862.html on www.prowleronline.com - prowlers also have Haartz tops) you might want to reconsider it based on your statement that you're "just looking at water proofing and durability". If you absolutely need more UV protection, you might want to look at combinations of other company's products OVER HTFG. From what I hear about the restorative properties of HTFG (I believe it enough that I have it in hand, it just doesn't work psychologically with 2 feet of snow on the ground), you may not need any additional UV protection.

I've been very happy with RaggTopp, so for the time being I think I'll just stick with it.
I got my Daimondite glass stuff today, and Monday I'll get my Blackfire stuff. Playing with both the glass and the paint should keep me busy for awhile.
