303 Aerospace Protectant vs Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer

How do you determine the UV performance is better?

My cousin told me..... :nana:

Personal experience, but 303 seems to last longer for me on exterior rubber. #40 seems to look better on interiors, and it smells better. I try to do 303 2 or 3 times a year on exterior seals and #40 inside about twice a year. QID for quick touchups.

Apples to oranges.

Don't know which is a better UV protector....don't really care. One has a little gloss and the other leaves no gloss. I use QID or 1Z for customers who don't like dressings, otherwise it's 303 or #40.

Both work well and each has a place in my detailing arsenal. ;)

Never said it was better. I said Megs#40 UV protection was excellent. I have no way to test if #40 or 303 has better UV protection but I can say I have used #40 for years and have no fading/cracking issues on anything I use it on. Megs#40 has been around for decades and highly thought of for a reason.

How do you get the streaks that 303 leaves on the instrument panel/radio screen/clock etc off? I always seem to get at least a little on those screens and it leaves streaks.

I never use 303 on clear plastic. 303 is a dressing not a clear plastic cleaner. I know 303 says it can be used for clear plastic but as you discovered it's not very good for that. I use Plexus which is made for screens and clear plastic and works better than anything I have used.

I have the plexus and use it as well. It is in aerosol can. How do you apply it? Do you spray it directly on surface which would obviously be preferable or do you spray it on applicator to avoid getting it everywhere?

Depends on the area. The clear plastic covering the instruments is big enough that I can spray directly on it with no problem. The clock and radio I spray on the MF than apply.

I use Plexus on my sunglasses, TV's, computers, and cell phone screens. Great stuff.
