303 Aerospace Protectant vs Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer

Different product IMO. 303 leaves a slight sheen behind, MQID does not. MQID in my understanding does not have UV protectants or if it does, very little. 303 does have UV protection.

Personally, I use 303 as a base layer ever 4-6 months on my truck, then use either MQID or Cockpitt Premium to maintain.

I am using 303 Aerospace. I just started. I recommend it. From everything I read it is the way to go to protect your interior. I apply it with a foam applicator and dry it with a microfiber towel. Dry it completely. You can use the 303 on all your seals, wiper blades, etc.

Listen to Brandon1, that Tundra he uses that stuff on is amazing, still looked new when I saw it last year, infact there is a C&B just posted not to long ago about that Tundra. 1z Cockpit smells great FWIW :)

The new version of QID states that it's for use on leather, but is it safe to use on vat-dyed leather in high-end European cars?

TIA

I don't see why not, I mean the stuff is pretty much scented water.

FWIW, a damp MF does the same job, however, I find the wipes useful when wrapped around a toothpick for very tight areas.

One really cleans the other is mostly a protectant.

It's best to clean then use 303 to protect.

Plastic, vinyl I use 1Z Cockpit Premium. Follow with 303 after the cleaning.

All other parts exposed are leather and use product strictly for leather.

I use 303 on everything and wouldn't bother with anything else really. I like the smell of Megs 40 or 42 whichever the rubber and vinyl spray is, but 303 offers superior protection and works very well on the exterior of the car too

the megs QID is more like a touch-up/maintenance type product and has very little protection, where as 303 is a dedicated protectant. two different products...

How do we really know? I believe it works but hard to know about how it really compares to other products in terms of pure UV performance. It almost seems like many choose your protectant based upon final appearance and smell but 303 is a trusted brand.

If you are talking about protection, I would say 303 does a better job. However, 303 really isnt a cleaner and MQID is. Why not get both since you need a cleaner to prepare for 303 any way?

I used tom use 303 but know prefer Megs #40. Lasts longer and has a better look to it IMO. The UV protection is excellent also. As for nav screens or other clear plastics Plexus has no equal.

How do you determine the UV performance is better?
