Not that there's anything per se wrong with the L98 TPI motor but from my experience you'll be much happier with an LT1 as there are many more perf. parts and/or replacement parts for these available.
Or, (Prinz will probably back me on this) what about a maxima? I just test drove one of the '04s yesterday and I gotta say, if the previous generations are as quick and well built as these new ones, its a decent contender as a sportier sedan. It sounds like you don't push your cars too often so you might be just as happy with this- low operating/repair costs, lower insurance probably than even the 'velle, just a win-win.
