Hey, looks pretty good. I like the color a lot and the brake system looks nice. Did you paint the calipiers yourself or did they come like that? I'm doing a black 1992 3000gt VR4 this month. The car has been neglected for a long time and the owner finally got it up and running so now he wants to address the exterior. Its gonna be a tough one but I'm looking forward to it. Also, were those vents a PITA? i hate vents and grills. take care.

I painted the Calipers myself using High heat caliper paint. I think this is a very wasy car to detail, but keep in mind I've been doing the same car for almost 5 years now. The 92 VR4 has a different body style then mine, but should be easy to detail.

Am I happy with the detail? Of course I am  I think the car came out great. This is the first time I used anything other then Zaino, and yet I think I get the best results.

Looks awesome. I almost got those rims :) Wish i had those tires too. :bounce

Looks like a lot of orange peel, is there? or is it just the camera?

Orange Peel? I don't think it's the paint. The first two pics were taken in the sahde, the last two are in the sunlight. I think what you're seeing is a combination of bad lighting and the picture being too large. The pics were taken on a 3.2mp Kodak.

Now my maxima, that's a different story.

I have the same car in red and 93 ( guess not the same heh ) going to detail her after spring break! Looks awesome man! Were the calipers spray painted or did you do it with a brush?

Hey Animosity :wavey It's always nice to meet another 3fgt owner. If you're a new owner, check out 3si.org It's a great place to meet other 3kgt/stealth owners and you'll learn allot about your car.

The calipers were pained with a brush. I can't remember the name of the piant I used, but I can tell you that I had to paint them 3x to sop the chipping  They are in decent shape now though.

Hey, Shawn, like somebody else said: Resize those pix down! I fell asleep waiting for them to load on my 52k dial-up. :down

Hey Lynn, you have a Mercedes and a Jaguar, yet you still have a 52k dial up  I think it's time for an upgrade.

And like I said above, I had a friend upload those pics for me. When it comes to doing stuff like that I'm clueless.

:LOLOL Ya got me! But ... what can I say? We all have our priorities. :lol

I understand. I'm still grappling to understand all this stuff. If you friend has Photoshop, he can use the "save as" or "save for Web" to reduce the size of the files before uploading them. Or you can load them into your Autopia gallery {Did you know that we all get free space for pix on Autopia?] and link from there. I know I always want to upload high-res, detailed pix to Autopia, because I know folks here will really scrutinize them. But what some of us do is post low-res pix in the threads, and include a link to our Autopia gallery or an external photohosting website where folks with good modems (i.e., not mine! :D ) and get details. Just a thought. :nixweiss

Thanks Booger. The endurance tire gel is real wet looking, which I like for my car. It will sling if you don't wipe it down with a towel. I use a foam applictor to apply it, then wait about 15min, aplly a little more, wait anohter 10min, then wipe with a finishing towel. I like the end result :)
