3000 grit...Whats next?

I had some body work done on my 2003 Mustang and they basically repainted about 80% of the car. The final step was they wet sanded the entire car with 3000 grit, and told me not to wax it for at least 30 days. Now I am waiting and wondering what I should do after this first 30 days is up. The car is sitting in the garage with a car cover over it, and it was only driven from the shop here to the house.

Whats next???

i would hope that they at least buffed it and didn't just sand it and give it back to you.

After the 30 days you treat it like a normal car . . . . . clean it up and start protecting it. I'm not sure if the 30 day thing is true or just a myth as i have had body shops tell me the same thing or longer and i have had some that said it's ok to start cleaning right away.

take off the cover....let the gases escape - reason you dont wax. It may not do much harm, but if its a tight cover, it might...

I would uncover it anyway
