Take a look at this Foam Gun eZall Products - powerful, reliable Foamer -- Great for Total Body Wash, Multi-Purpose Cleaner, Shampoos etc. You can pick it up at some Tack Shops for around $30. It looks surprisingly similar to the CG Foam Blaster (that was suposedly developed specifically for automobiles)

Seems to do a decent job as shown in this video Foam Gun eZ All Foamer - YouTube

But it does seem that dilution ratios would be trial and error.

Anyone ever used one of these or the FoamBlaster??

looks just like the one Griots has been selling for quite some time. i don't like that you can't control the dilution with the brass meter like you can with the gilmour...

Right. The Griots foam gun includes 3 metering inserts (goes into the pick up hose) to set the dilution so not easily adjustable. The foam gun was sold by Adam's for a while as well but also remarketed for other uses. It is sold by Tractor Supply as well but did not see it in the local place. It is almost all plastic.

This is the Griot's model using Optimum Car Wash at about 3:1 dilution in the reservoir but can be much less and get similar results after further use (at least 5:1).

It is an inexpensive way to get into foaming plus you get the Griot's warranty.

I like the Gilmour foamaster II . Can be found here at a good price. $39.00 an free shipping. Amazon.com: Gilmour Foamaster II Cleaning Gun Quart 95QGF4: Patio, Lawn & Garden

Agreed. I don't have a pressure washer that actually accepts "real" foam cannons (stupid proprietary bayonet on AR pressure washers) so I have a Gilmour that I use most of the time. It's built really well, cheap and works great. I'd rather get the shaving cream thick foam like you get from a wand or cannon, but its effective enough to presoak and once you get everything fitted up with quick releases super easy to use.

.. I mostly do ONR washes but a foam gun would be nice to have in the "arsenal".

You might try doing like Superbee364 (where is he anyhow?!?) and use the foamgun (with a BHB or mitt) for a "prewash" to get the big stuff off and *then* do the ONR wash.
