I have both the Griots 3" and 6" machines. The smaller machine gets into smaller places with ease but as I mentioned before it is no mactch for the larger machine when it comes to power.

Paul, I have both the 3" and 6" GG's machines as well. I agree the 3" is great for smaller areas, but as you mentioned, it does not have the power. I've also found the orange pad is not as durable as the 6" pad.

SFCR how do you like the griots 6"? 7.0amps! i want one just because of this. Ive got the 3" polisher they had on sale at thedetailshoppe.com but ive mainly used it for sanding

What is a better set up if you only have one--4" or 3" (in addition to a 5.5" set up) ???

i am in the same situation as you atm. I think I am going to just get the 3" pads for my pc7424xp.
