I did the full detail on my car about 3 months ago, but since then it has seen some heavy rains, serious dust, and nasty waterspots. It was about time for a touch up and last Thursday evening I finally had a chance.
Scratches and swirls were pretty minimal so I decided to go with a 70/30 mix of menzerna FPII and clearkote RMG on a white LC polishing pad. Using speed 6 and light pressure, I went to work on the car.
before (notice the small marring and waterspots)
during (I worked a pretty decent sized area since i was just doing some light polishing)
after
7 year old paint
The above pics are just straight after polishing. it was dark out and I didnt have my tripod when i finished so none of the full car afters came out. The above pics though do a pretty good job of showing how the finish is almost all in the prep though. I topped it with 4* upp and will throw on a coat of p21s or souveran next time I wash the car.
