First was a 2002 Silver WRX Wagon that my buddy ended up trading in (hence the detail) for a new Jetta GLI (sweet cars BTW)

It got a Dawn Wash,

DACP with PC

NXT Tech Wax with a PC

Meguiars Hot Shine on the tires

And a 1:10 Mix of Simply Green on the engine

Here are the pics that I could get, as I did it after work and it was too dark to get good after pics.

Next was another friends car. He just got this 96 Civic EX with 170K on it. The front bumper and pass side look like they have been repainted, but the car looks better than my 93 after my 30+ hours into the paint.

It had some fine scratches where the sunroof trim used to be and a few other scratches on the bumper. I was able to lessen those finen scratches, but my camera couldn't pick them up. . .

It got the same DACP treatment topped by NXT Wax.

I didn't get any whole car shots as his car looked nicer than mine when he got to my place, so it wasn't a very dramatice change other than the scratches and it was dark out when I was done also.

More to come. . .

Now on to the money shots of the last car I did.

It was a friends wife's White Accord. It got the same DACP/NXT treatment, including on the windows.

I used Mothers Back To Black for the trim (that doesn't quite look 100% but a huge improvement. the owner was more pleased with the outcome of them than I was.

The major reason for the detail was a line left by the car sporting a bra for some time. My camera's batteries acted up a little and didn't save the before of the hood, so I only have 2 in process and a done shot.

I was really able to see the dinginess that is often hidden on other color cars that this white car really showed.

The Hood during. . .The top left part was washed and dried. The right side on the top half is where the bra was at and it's noticeably whiter than the left side and the bottom has been cleaned with DACP. You'll notice the 3 different shades of white . .. well, 1 is more "dingy grey" than white

Here's another shot where you can see the left side that was cleaned, the bottom was covered by the bra and the untouched top right side

And here's the hood completely done, waxed and all.

More pics to come. . .

And here are some nice depth reflections that I got from this car. I really love the look of a nicely polished white car. . .

Here are some money shots of the Accord. . .I love a clean white car. . .dr00l!

wow, they all look great, the last shot of the accord's door looks amazing. keep up the good work!! what pads are you using with your PC?

Vernon

Are you able to see any hazing left by the DACP w/ a cutting pad?I sometimes get hazing w/ DACP and a cutting pad, thats why I ask.

yah, with this pad lately I've had a problem with hazing that I didn't have with an Orange pad.

I know that if it gets too wet there's hazing.

But in the end, I'm able to get it out.

Looks great!

The accord hood shot is great...What a mess it was!

For the black trim, try using a Mr.Clean Magic Eraser on it as instructed, then doing back to black. I did it on my girlfriend's Saab trim and it brought it back to a "new" Matte Black, then applied PB Trim Restorer and it has a deep black, low gloss sheen to it.

thanks Sean. . .that's a good tip.

I'll have to remeber for next year, as my detailing season is almost over this year. . .

Excellent work! The before and after on the Subaru engine is really nice!

Those white Accord can be a real PITA because they don't have a clear coat. I have no idea why either. Good thing is once you buff them out real good, just a light glaze and wax every 3 months or so keeps them looking real good.
