$25 Aluminum Case From Lowes Perfect For PC

I was searching for a good case for my PC, and came across this one for twenty five bucks @ Lowes:

I bought one today, and it's got enough room for my PC, and even a few small tools. Since I have so many pads (from trying out Meguiar's, CMA/Lake Country, and Griots pads), I'm using a Rubbermaid tool box for the pads.

This aluminum box is just perfect for storing my PC without having to unscrew the handle all the time. It took me all of five minutes to cut the foam and fit the PC into it's new home:

AWESOME!

I've been looking for something like that!

BTW, how did you cut the foam? Did you freeze it then cut it out?

not bad, not bad..... I just hang mine from a couple hooks on the wall in my garage - before that I put it in a drawer in the garage.

Now your sig needs to say, "Have PC, will travel!"

I can just picture a guy showing up in a dark suit, sun glasses, with that aluminum case in hand to a swirled black car and saying, "Step back maam, I'll handle this.":D

The foam is partially scored in a grid pattern, so all I did was take a paring knife from the kitchen (no one tell my wife, ok? LOL!) and cut along the lines. I wasn't exagerating when I said it took me five minutes. It barely took five minutes to cut the foam, and the dividers come with it.

pad cleaning spur? Looks better than the one I have.

I have my PC in the plastic molded box that it came with. The rotary is fitted with foam into a Craftsman plastic tool box that also holds upright 16 oz bottles of 3M Fine Cut Compound, FI2, SMR as well as the backing plate and pads.

At least when I get kicked out of the house, I can quickly grab my prized possessions.

The pad cleaning spur is from CMA, and I'm positive they get it from Lake Country Manufacturing, the company that makes their pads, because I have a Lake Country catalog.

Yep, it came with the foam, scored in a grid pattern so you can cut it any way you want. Plus it came with the dividers too.

Thanks for the heads up!

Looks like the perfect case for my new PC, but on the Lowes web site it's showing "Temporarily unavailable" at my 2 area stores.:(

Guess I'll have to keep a look out.
