23 hours...... 2007 Porsche Turbo 996 & its much needed attention

Where do I start? First off,

Let’s correct the fact that this is a 997 not a 996. Sorry for any confusion

Well......... coating 4 of my vehicles and 3 belonging to my parents as well as doing a number of corrections on friends & in-laws cars. Finally it came time to work on a car I’ve had my eye on for a while. A 2007 Porsche Turbo that my uncle owns. He’s a car nut too. This is his baby! (less then 8500 Miles)

Timing was perfect! I Sent the wife and kids away on vacation since the kids were off from school for the week. Which left me home alone with some time on my hands.

My uncle agreed to leave the car with me to work on in between my work schedule (60-70hr/5 days - work week)

Mind you, I do not do this for money, I do it because I enjoy taking something and making it look nicer then it already does. I don’t even work in any aspect of the car world. This is purely hobby and no, I wouldn’t accept a penny from my uncle.

He dropped the car off Sunday morning and that afternoon the family was on their way to a much warmer place. Then my fun started.

Please feel free to comment or make suggestions, I still love to learn and perfect my skills

Disclaimer: the condition of his vehicle is not a representation of the way he maintains his cars, it is due to an unfortunate incident that occurred at his home and not being able to garage his cars for the past two years due to the amount of construction going on. So this vehicle sat in the back of a yard with two car covers on it.

Awesome results!
Also, I`m sure that video editing took a few hours.

He is probably going to freak out when water hits that car. :)

WOW!! I`m thinking there is at least $500+ in product on that car, forget the time. Hope you got drive it anytime privileges and a nice bottle of Scotch for all the effort.

Thanks, He’s not the “freak out” type, but I know he was impressed.

Yup, editing took a few hours, but I didn’t count that toward the 23+ on the detail. My initial reason for the video was to show my uncle what I was doing to the car. Then it went from there

That was an amazing job and a lot of work to put in to that car. It was well deserved. You have quite the setup!

What product did you use for cleaning the interior? What were you spraying on the seats, etc? And which pressure washer do you use?

It`s funny, I`m the same way when the wife and kids go out of town.. time to detail!

Thanks, but I’m content with the appreciation of the job and the future care of the work/coating done

beautiful work and great video

btw that is a type 997 (not 996)
the 997 is a MUCH better machine

You are probably correct re: cost of product but he bought most of the products used with the exception of the standard stuff that I have on hand at all time.

Thank you,

I use carpro inside. But what you saw me spraying was GG interior cleaner. It does a good job of of cleaning and not leaving anything behind

The pressure washer is a ryobi. I swapped out the long wand for a shorter handheld gun. It balances better when the foam cannons are attached.
