Looked for specs on this hybrid sports car because I wanted to know if the body is carbon fiber OR parts of the body are carbon fiber construction, like the gull-wing doors.
I would have to ask what made detailing this no-longer-in-production car "fun". Was it the unique (challenging) body contours, the black clear-coat/paint on the panel substrate (whatever material it is), or the existing/inherent BMW-quality paint? OR all of the above.

Looks fantastic, Merlin. Getting black to "show-car" status is no easy detail, BUT you have the ability and skill to do this seemingly impossible detailing task aplomb, which is why you are "Merlin"; Pure magic!!

All of the above. It's a really interesting car. The i8 is a plug-in hybrid with an electric motor and a THREE cylinder gasoline engine
