2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S

A new client came to me, who also happens to be a friend asking me to detail his brand new 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S that he had just purchased. I told him that I would be willing to do that. He hadn`t gotten the car yet at this point and he called me from the dealership last week telling me that he was there picking it up. I advised him not to let the dealership do any "detail" work to it. The only thing he asked is if they can take the wrap off and I told him that would be fine.

He dropped it off today, and all in all, it was not in that bad of shape. I don`t have any before pictures, but I do have some after pictures. What a beautiful vehicle.

Here is my process:
- Washed with Megs Shampoo Plus
- Wheels cleaned with Detail King Chameleon Wheel Cleaner
- Tires cleaned with Detail King Tire and White Wall Cleaner
- Iron-X
- Pinnacle Mild Clay
- CQuartz entire vehicle including door jambs
- Topped with CG Blacklight
- Interior leather treated with Leatherique
- Interior panels wiped down with Cockpit Premium
- Floors just vacuumed
- Tires dressed with Opti-Bond Tire Gel
- Glass cleaned with 3M glass cleaner

Here are a few more...

The one thing I found interesting was the yellow calipers. He said that is one of the signature colors for the Turbo S. 580 HP with Launch Control. He said it is amazing. He was so impressed, he now he wants me to do his Dodge Viper and Mustang.

FYI-

Those Yellow Calipers indicate PCCB -Porsche Ceramic Carbon Brakes. These brakes do not duct much at all and the Carbon Fiber Rotors are not designed to take any kind of wheel cleaner. They can stain from anything more than car wash soap. The only dirt to remove is road grime which hopefully is not too much.

I see too many people using wheel cleaner on these wheels and I am certain that there is no need for it and that it can be detrimental to the brakes. Any FYI the brakes and rotors are totally obnoxiously expensive.

The Ceramic brakes are standard on the Turbo S, otherwise about $10k option throughout the 911 lineup.
Good to know about staying away from the wheel cleaner - my buddy has a 2015 Turbo S so I`ll let him know. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I used the Chameleon Wheel Cleaner which has a mild PH. It did not stain the wheels, rotors or calibers. But, I will keep this in mind for future reference. Thanks again!
