New client, newish vehicle to him. Wanted it looking its best and coated for long lasting protection and ease of maintenance.

Quick details:

Was full of swirls and some holograms. 3 step correction, my usual suspects, except I added some Menz PO85RD to the mix to finish it off. Aquatek Singular ceramic coating.

Really late to this thread conversation, Sizzle Chest;
Some Captain Obvious questions:
1a) Does your paint thickness gauge "work" on fiberglass/non-metallic substrate material?
1b) If so, what was/is the paint thickness on this particular Vette (if you remember, since there is no pic......Just curious about GM paint in modern production)
2) What specific manufacturer and type of pad(s) did you use with the Menzerna PO85RD polish?
3) Did you using the Harbor Freights Forced Rotation polisher on this Vette? OR what polishing machine(s) did you use?
4) Speaking of GM paint quality, it did not seem like there was a whole lot of "orange peel" on this Vette or at least it did not show up well in the pics.
Was there some visible to you from your post-polishing inspection??

Nice work on another black vehicle from the Darth Vader collection, Sizzle Chest

I assume that you are "streamlining" your vehicle specs and detailing info from that like used in the old forum format, IE less typing on your part.

Hi Lonnie!

Yes, I have 2 gauges. One will do ferrous and the other will do both/any substrate.
I don't recall the thickness on this one, I'm sorry!

I typically only use LC pads. I used a black wax application pad as that has as close to zero cut as you can get.

Yes, I used my Hercules on this.

Oh, it had orange peel, I guess it just didn't show up. Was as you'd expect from GM.

Yeah, I've been slammed and not had the time to really 'do it up' like I normally do on my write ups! I will hopefully slow down a bit and get back to 'the details'

I appreciate seeing your work in whatever format. Seeing these beauties makes me want to go car shopping.
