Been meaning to post this, but it's been a process to get completed with all the rain here lately. A little background info, my car is a year and a half old and I polished it with Wolfgang Uber Compound and Finishing Glaze in June using my 3401. I wanted to get it coated and therefore needed to polish, but it did not need a real heavy polish since it'd just gotten done 3 months ago. I tried both the finishing glaze and HD Polish, and decided to go with HD.

Obviously I started off with a wash with DG 901, then Sonax Fallout remover and nankin. Then rewashed and began polishing.

So, I used my new Rupes 15 and Gold LC jeweling pads- I didn't want much cut. I used my 3403 and green polishing pads for getting into tight spots. After that, I used the red hydro tech pad to apply the PBL surface cleansing lotion. I did 2 applications to ensure the paint was pure, followed up with an IPA wipedown.

I got the coat down on a sunday evening, which was fortunate. I had planned to coat the next day but it started raining a day early- good thing I got it done.

A few days later, I did a UWW waterless wash and IPA wipe before applying another coat of the v2. I did this again the next day for a total of 3 coats.

This weekend I was able to complete the detail by topping with Collinite #915, touching up trim with Mothers Back to Black, getting the wheels coated, dressing the tires with WG black diamond, and treating the glass with Hydro2. Also a quick touch up on the interior, since my GF's dirty feet got sand everywhere after hiking. Anyway, I think the Honda is looking pretty sharp!

Lookin GOOD !!!!!

Did you find much difference with the additional coats?

I definitely saw a difference with the 2nd coat vs the 1st. Not so much of a difference between 2 and 3. I was prepared to do another coat, but I didn't figure it made sense. Either way, I've got this car armored up for whatever kind of weather comes at me!

Oh, forgot to mention, after the 3rd coat I put on some WG Fuzion. The 915 actually looks a lot better than Fuzion on this.
