2014 Explorer All Sealed Up

Up for detail today is a 2014 Ford Explorer. The owner called me complaining that his new car smelled like sewage, and there was a salt ring around the drivers floor board from before he got the WeatherTechs. His neighbors septic tank burst and caused his whole driveway to flood.  So, needless to say, I had plenty of cleanup to do on the interior. The exterior wasn’t so bad, but it had the usual swirling on the soft black pillars and hadn’t been waxed since it was picked up. The wheels had a few scratches, but the owner said that those were there the day that he picked it up from the dealer.

Anyway, on to the exciting stuff.

Nice turnaround on that one! Interior must have been a real joy to clean. ;)

It definitely did not smell good at all. Once I pulled the weathertechs it wasnt all that bad. However, the back seat had a few areas where his kids had kicked the backs of the seats.

all in all, it wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be when I took the job

Did the septic tank "flood" the interior?
No, he just had to step in the water and mud which tracked the smell into the car
