2013 S4, Paint Correction and Opti-Coat Pro Coating: Rasky's Auto Detailing

RaskyR1

Rasky's Auto Detailing
Newer S4 in for light paint correction and Opti-Coat Pro coating. Applied to all painted surfaces and wheels.

Before pics:

Light marring

A few panels had evidence of pre-delivery polishing

Dealer applied wax in PPF edges

Pillars were trashed as usual…

Looking better

Owner had forgotten to bring the wheel lock key so wheels were cleaned and coated on the car.

After pics

Nothing like a PPF edge to wreck your shot….

PPF looking awesome!!! NOT!

Thanks for looking,
Rasky

That car looks great! Did you happen to coat the PPF with opti coat or leave it be? I'm getting ready to coat my car but I'm debating on if I want to remove the PPF first since the original owner didnt bother to have the paint corrected before applying the PPF to the car so there are so awesome swirls under it.

Thanks guys!

Thanks Dan. The client actually thought the car looked good before he brought it to me and didn't realize the condition until he saw the before and after. Very happy though. ;)

Yes, all of the PPF was coated as well. I'm not a big fan of PPF if you couldn't tell. ;)

Fantastic results on that Audi hard clear!!! What pads, products, technique did you use?? I'm always looking to learn how to best polish our two VWs with minimal effort with clear almost as hard as Audi.

I'd like to know too. Thanks!!

Thanks again guys!

FWIW, I really hate Audi Brilliant Black!!! Hard as nails yet it still marrs easily. The paint condition really wasn't bad at all IMO, but being so hard it still required 2 steps to get it where I wanted. I cut with FG400 on the Rupes 21 using MF Finishing pads and finished with Hyper Polish/tangerine LC. Then I went over it quick with the new Optimum Primer. My first car using the new Primer and it's nice not having to use IPA and the primer makes a noticeable difference in how the coating goes down. I had zero issues with streaks/smearing. :bigups

Great job.

I have a question -- if one was applying OC 2.0 and did not have Primer polish, would it have been perfectly okay to stop after the 2nd step, and go straight to applying OC 2.0 without an IPA wipedown?
