This weekend I spent some more time on detailing my new 2012 Jeep Sahara and correcting all of the dealership detailing mistakes from my recent purchase. I decided instead of trying to tackle everything at once I work break all the work down into three sections: Interior, Wheels, Paint. By doing it this way I am able to spend more time in getting things where I want them, fixing the detailing errors from the prior owner and dealership, and not being overwhelmed.
The wheels and tires were in decent shape and but did a much needed cleaning and decon. The tires were obviously dressed with the typical dealership "ooze" tire dressing so it took some time and effort to remove that. I decided to use several of the McKee's 37 product line to tackle this job.
Products used:
McKee's 37 Tire & Rubber Rejuvenator, heavy duty tire cleaner, how to remove brown from tires
McKee's 37 Foaming Wheel Cleaner Gel
Coating Prep Polish, clear coat polish, best car polish
McKee's 37 Wheel Coating, wheel wax, wheel sealant, brake dust repellent
Thoughts
1. Wheel Cleaner-I found this to be an excellent wheel cleaner. One thing I did notice is that less is more with this product. I initially sprayed the wheels and was waiting to the color change for iron oxide. The cleaner sprayed onto the wheel ok but it wasn't until I started to agitate it that it really started to foam up. The wheel barrels and faces came up perfect with minor agitation. My only complaint was that I didn't see that much color change. I know that my wheels had some contamination but I was shocked that it didn't show up like with Sonax or Iron-X.
2. Tire and Rubber Rejuvinator-I found this to be excellent on the accumulated grime on the tires. It cut through the dealership crappy dressing with ease. It took about 3 solid coats to get the tires perfectly clean but it definitely did the job.
3. Wheel Coating-Super easy to use. I prepped the wheels with the McKee's 37 Coating Prep. I would apply the Prep Polish to one wheel and move to the second. I would then go back to the original and buff off. The Wheel Coating application was a breeze. I will definitely be watching closely to see how it holds up and how much easier wheel cleaning will be. These wheels and tires will be my winter wheels as I plan to upgrade soon to some 33 inch tires and XD series wheels.

All and all I continue to be happy with the products I have tried from the McKee's 37 line.
