2011 Shelby Mustang

2.0 replaces the original. It has more fillers, and the abrasives break down faster. It is much easier to use - really pretty amazing stuff - with a little work you get good filling but the abrasives won't haze a dark finish - and with a lot of work the abrasives will really level/round a scratch to remove/diminish its appearance. The original is a lot like 3M's SMR - if you don't work it really hard (orbital + pressure + stout pad + time) you will leave a haze behind - hard to see on much besides black, but it is there. My ranking, in order of preference: #9 2.0, 3M SMR, #9 original.

Thanks CARGUY

I'll go pickup some 2.0 this evening. I haven't had a chance to pickup my PC yet. How would you apply #9 2.0 without a PC & remove it?

Should be getting my scehdule for my Sears Point races in the next week or so. I'll let you know when I be up there.

Great, Steve -

I would apply it with a foam hand pad and buff it off with MF. Seems to be OK by hand - FAR easier to use by hand than the others.

Keep me posted on Sears - I would love to figure out how to get the Cobra and the Porsche together somewhere nice for some photos.....

P.S. - I will have the Porsche at/on Laguna Seca April 20/21......

Thanks for the info

I love the Laguna Seca track. I just don't like the people that run the track. I ran KERMIT there last year. I really like Sears Point [both the track & the people running it. . Am kinda baised towards Willow Springs since I race up there all the time. I haven't run on either Buttonwillow or Thunderhill yet [but will do so this race season ] I am suppose to do some testing of KERMIT on the road course at California Speedway in the next month or two.

Well how about this sports fans. I get a phone call as I'm typing this.

A controlling factor has crept into my racing career. I ran the entire season last year with a horribly sore right elbow. Would just grin & bear it. Well I ran my last race earlier this year and I had to [with the wifes help] literally cut off the right sleeve of racing suit to get it over my rigfht elbow it was swollen so bad. Saw the doctor that day. Told me to take it easy for a few weeks. Well went and saw another MD the other day and he did some tests and found out that not only do I have arthlistis [spelling] in the right right elbow I also have both a bone chip the size of a broken toothpick & few bone spurs. Let me know when you want to go for that ride in KERMIT. I will be in the area with IT on June 2 for the Pacific Palisades Car Show. I can pick you and you can drive to the show with me if you would like. Good thing is that the doctor told me that NORMAL DRIVING in KERMIT will not cause any more problems with the elbow, its just shifting a 500 TO 700 times a race that will not help it. Am talking about surgery on it in the middle of fall after everything has died out for the year.

Sweet looking Shelby there, love the lines and the way it looks now! thanks for sharing it here with us!

Is that you Franki??

Looks good dude! How was it detailing on a hill like that?

Hey Matt, Thanks!

working on the hill was not that bad...I have my setup in his garage. The only problem was I couldn't use my dollies for my buckets. I just be more careful walking up and down.

I have his wife's Q7 TDI next, thats should be fun for 5'5 guy like me....
