2011 911 Turbo S

Auto Detail & Restoration
The first detail in the shop. This is my first real write up bear with me.

The 2011 Turbo S is one of the fastest production cars built. 0-60 in 2.8 sec. 0-120 in 11 sec.(also the qtr. mile time)
This may be a 2011 but it arrived in Aug of last year and has been driven regularly 9965 miles. It has been washed at the local no touch and dried by their staff and not touched otherwise. It is now time for a little maintenance.
This is a daily driver so the objective is to remove the worst of the towel marring and spiderwebbing but not fully correct. There were some deeper faults which were greatly improved but not completely removed because it will be washed the same way in the future.
This is a regular customer who gives me his cars. I'll be driving it to Cincinnati for an invitational 100 car indoor show under bright lighting. Trying to do the best I can do without getting carried away is what I'm shooting for. I've driven this car on road tours it's a rocket.

:drool:Looks fantastic. I'm a huge 911 fan, especially the Turbo S. Boy it's such a fun car to drive. Seeing it in automatic did leave a sour taste in my mouth though:(

The transmission is a 7 speed PDK F1 style it has an electronic clutch. Only way it comes. However the PDK in launch mode is faster than you can do the paddles.
Shifts are faster than 60 milliseconds. Human blink at fastest is 70-80millisecond.
He has 2010 GT3 for good old manual fun he didn't want to give up.
I'll grab that to bring in soon.

Edit shifts in 40 millisecond range 0-100mph 6.6sec per track test per GT Porsche magazine Oct 2010

I guess I'll be eating my words a bit there. I haven't checked the specs on the newest ones. Even though the shifts are super fast, I'd still rather stomp on a 3rd pedal. Technology is getting so advanced with transmissions, though.

Feel free to bring either car my way. :D
