200k Mile 1990 MB

Man this car had some dead paint! 200k miles and 31 years old will do that.


Customer said he just wanted it to shine and be protected. So I cut with Griots Garage Fast Correcting cream and an orange pad (I didn’t want to risk any burning with such old paint) followed by CarPro reflect and yellow refining pad.’


I hate doing the tape line, but he asked me for it.

Two coats of Cquartz UK, topped with Gliss (haven’t ordered SiC as I still have quite a bit)

The owner is part of the 1320 crew and I knew he was going to do SOME videography...didn’t think he was going to point it in my direction. But I think it went well, I am not plugging his channel. Just showing how excited he was for the results.
 
Nice job! I watched the video and "Super Excited" doesn`t even begin to cover how he felt about your work. I don`t know what all he puts out on You Tube, but for him to make an entire segment of what you did to his car speaks volumes.

This is one of the few C&B`s I just *had* to check out, LOVE seeing something like this...and *especially* that particular model of Benz, getting some attention. Man, did I enjoy seeing this....

That thing`s nice...*VERY* nice! I bet it was a pretty enjoyable job to do.

I was genuinely excited to see this paint coming back to life, made the entire job that much better.

And of course the customer being so thrilled.

Excellent detailing workmanship on this older M-B wagon. The tape line pic of the before as-is paint/ after corrected-paint visual comparison was well worth fulfilling the customer`s request. As Yogi Berra, 1950`s and 60`s New York Yankees`s iconic baseball player and manager said, "It ain`t braggin` if you can do it."

What did you use for an iron de-con and what polishing machines(s) did you use??
 
Yeah, Wookies, that thing is looking A W E S O M E !! I have to admit to coming back to admire it several times - - I had a 1995 sedan. Brings back memories.
