2009 Modified BMW M3 Sedan Detail

Brad,

Do you keep the CCD in its original holder? I've had mine for several months now but it still streaks parrafin wax (only visible on black though) and I'm thinking it's because the original case probably has a lot of parrafin smudged in it.

Yes, I do keep it in the original holder. Never any streaks, and nothing inside the holder-I checked. Try laying your CCD on some papertowels for a day or two so it soaks up some of the extra parraffin. That might help.

If the paper towel or newspaper trick doesn't

work out then try using your CCD around the

house to build up a nice amount of dust.

This did it for me.

Don't use it on corse gritty dust just the light

dust that accumulates on furniture, TV's, Etc...

You will see your CCD getting nice and dark.

The darker the better.

Note though : you will amost always get some

microstreaking on warm or hot wax. This you

blend in with a nice MF and QD.

Brad is definitely correct in saying that the Cali Duster can be used on Zaino with the same effects and or problems as other waxes and sealants. Always use Brad's outlined proper technique of using the duster though. Laters

Recently completed, this modified Alpine White M3 needed some correction to look it's best.

Love the HRE P40S wheels and other subtle mods done to the car.

After wash/clay steps were carried out, the paint correction steps were started. The white finish was difficult to capture some of the defects, thus some pics were taken with different settings on my camera.

50/50 pics of the trunk area.

Great work again, just what that m needed. what did you seal the matte finish wheels with I'm getting ready to buy a set myself and have been doing some looking around for a good sealant that sill not add too much gloss?

Bob, Great work! Again:)

I had an Alpine White M3 1988, wish I still had it!

What tar remover did you use to clean up the side skirts there the wheels kicked up that black stuff? I have found a good product for every problem I encounter except tar. They have been paving in my area for the last 2 summers and its taken a toll on my cars. The best I have found is Tarmenator aerosol, I prefer a liquid. I had been searching for Tardis but to date I have not been able to locate it.

My wife has a white MDX and it is a challenge getting the lower pannels tar free.

Thanks,

Jeff

Awesome work, what a beautiful car inside and out, WOW!

One question, what do you use on the door pillars? Our XC90 has those and I can't seem to ever get them 100% corrected.

Thanks.

I often think about not only the intense drive it takes to cover ever detail (window edges, lining the center caps, cleaning that mess under the rocker panels) since we usually don't live by bankers hours. It is the attention to detail in the 12th, 20th, or 40th hour that makes the difference and the ability to have the patience to not rush the job in those last hours that separates the truly phenomenal detailers IMO.

The only thing more impressive, to me, than the constant quality of work you put out is the fact that you have maintained such a high standard for such a long time. It is really inspiring and thank you for sharing.

I agree with what Todd said 100%. The work that you put out on a consistent basis is truly remarkable. You did a killer job on that M3, and nobody makes a white as nice as the BMW Alpine White.
Incredible work as always Bob!
