2009 Corvette

I think that they should superchange the LS7...making some where in the ball park of 800hp :D then it would be more interesting!

BTW the porsche Cayanne is suprisingly fun. I only sat in the passenger seat but it has quite the sporty feel to it. too bad it doesn't look too good :(

Ummmm, if I pay that amount of money for a car I expect to get top notch engineering and design all the way around. From the engine and suspension all the way to the a/c knobs. If I just wanteda fast car I could build an old Mustang up for a fraction of the price.

I agree wholeheartedly with you!

My real complaint (not that those manufacturers care, mind you) with many supercars and exotics is the overal lack of specialized interior design. I mean look at some of the really "gee-whiz" supercars out there with radical body lines....i.e. Lambos, etc. Yet, the interior in my G35 is probably as nice and sporty!

Sure, everyone loves a high HP, well tuned (suspension/engine), and all around drivers car, but it seems they all lack any creativity with the interiors. Why can't they make them stand out and cutting edge? I mean, if I'm gonna pay $100k+ or $150K+ for a car, it damn well better look like KITT on the inside and not bore me to death!

How about the interior of the Spyker C8:

I knew there was a reason why this car made it onto my business card as the focal point :D.

Let's not forget the function of many supercars is speed. The lightly the better in reaching this goal.

But I am also old-school and old ;) and bling is not my intention when purchasing a vehicle. Driving them is!!!! :D

Nothing like having 180 mph vehicle at the bottom of your foot. :woot:

As everyone who owns a high-end vehicle knows, after the first few rides the personal perception of driving something unique (bling factor to those that do not have (yet)) fades away and the driving experience becomes the purpose of owning such vehicles.

Thankfully vehicles like Corvettes, Vipers and Porsches have avoided building "bling" sportscars beyond the "bling" of their performance.

I've personally never had a problem with the interior of either of my Corvettes, or any of the GMC pick-ups I've owned, or my father's Yukons. The interior of my 2003.5 G35 Coupe was nice, but nothing to write home about... the gauges.. BOOORING... the plastic, hard as a rock, just like in my C6. The worst interior I've had by far was my 2003 Cobra... I hated it.

I really liked the interior of my 2005 Dodge Ram Laramie. Maybe I don't mind the GM interiors because I've grown so accustomed to them. I love the gauges in the C6 and I'm just familiar with the layout and functions in most GMs. I even kind of liked the interior of the Cobalt SS I test drove.

The only interiors I see that really make me swoon are newer Ferraris, Maseratis, Aston Martins, and Porsches. I kind of like the interior of the new Mustang, but I could take it or leave it.

The Spyker cockpit looks like that of a sailboat. No thanks. I'm kind of scared of deep water :D
